EYRES, Sylvia “Ruth” (née Kirkpatrick) ~ It is with great sadness that Ruth’s family announces her passing on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay in her 88th year. Daughter of the late Russell Kirkpatrick and Mamie James. Beloved wife of the late Glen Eyres for 51 years. Loving mother of Kathryn, Christine, Victoria, Jessica, and Rebecca. Predeceased by her infant son Stephen Glen in 1960. Fondly remembered by her sons-in-law Brian McIntosh, Michael Kelleher, Colin Coppins and Peter O'Neill. Dear grandmother of Sarah Sibany (Michael); Rachel and Liam Jack Kelleher; Emily, Katlin and Daniel Eyres Coppins; and Joshua O'Neill. Proud great-grandmother of Ruby Kathryn Rose Sibany and Ivy Alexis Pineau. Predeceased by her brother Roddy Kirkpatrick in 1935. Fondly remembered by Glen’s sister Shirley Ritchie and her family and niece Linda Johnson. In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, a grave side service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9th.
