Ferguson, Margaret Sophia (née Watson) – Born and raised on a farm near Washago, Ontario, Entered into rest peacefully on November 16, 2016 at the age of 87. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Grant Ferguson and was the cherished daughter of William and Doris Watson. Margaret was a dedicated teacher in Victoria Country and a long-time member of Cambridge Street United Church. She enjoyed music, gardening, camping and her family. Margaret was the loving mother of Bonnie Ferguson (Bruce Robb), Brenda (Clive) Walton, (the late Pat McGowan), Bill (Laurie) and Brian (Cheryl Brost). Dear grandmother of Ian Ward (Han-Yuen Ong), Laura (Jehan Khoorshed), Patrick (Sabrina), Amy (Derek) Reny, step-grandmother of Kim McGowan (Steve Widomski) and Patrick McGowan and great grandmother of Sophia and Paisley Ferguson; Benjamin and Nathan Ward; Ramona Khoorshed; and Kyler and Kaelyn Holmes. Great-great grandmother of Amelia Holmes-Villary. Dear sister of Alfred (Ellen) Watson and aunt to their children Andy, Charlie, Rick and Nancy. Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home Sunday, November 20th from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, November 21st in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. If desired, a memorial donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
