Jean Richard Pothier (Richard)

November 10, 1934 - February 1, 2017

Peacefully, with his son by his side, on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Ross Memorial Hospital. Predeceased by his constant companion and best friend, Victoria Sandrelli. Loving father of Stephen MacNeil-Pothier (Trish) and Shelley Nadine Holmes (Rob). Loving “Grandpere” to Brianna, Johnnie, Connor, Madison, Charlotte and Harry. Dear son of the late George and Lydia Pothier of Lower Wedgeport, Nova Scotia. Beloved brother of Laurent (Betty), Geraldine (Norbert), Ernie (Zelma), Lyn and John (Marie). Proud uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families and good friend to all who knew him. Richard loved to play the guitar and accordion, his music will live on. He was a happy, kind and gentle soul and brought happiness to all that he knew. There will be a private family celebration at the Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay and we are also planning a Mass at St Michael's church in Wedgeport, NS in the near future.
