McConnell Wilma, passed away peacefully with her adored daughter Nancy at her side in, Lindsay, on Friday March 30, 2018 at the age of 90. Wilma Nugent was the beloved wife of the late Frank McConnell, for 65 years. Loving mother of Nancy and Greg Newell. Proud Grandma of Brock and Payton Newell. Predeceased by her sister Jean (Bob) Joynt and sister in law Dorothy (Mel) Flett. Wilma will be greatly missed by her sister in life Joan Markey. She will be also missed by her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Following cremation a private family graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery Lindsay. Family and friends are welcome to come to Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North on April 22 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. to Celebrate and Remember the Life of Wilma, please dress casually. Shared memories will take place at 3:00 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimers Society Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society may be made at Mackey Funeral Home or online at www.mackeys.ca. Nancy and family would like to thank William Place and Dr. Peter Anderson for their exceptional service and care during Wilma’s stay and care at the residence.
