Goard, John William ~ Entered into rest on Monday, July 24th, 2017. John "Digger" having recently celebrated his 86th birthday is the much beloved husband of Lois for 62 years. Loving father of Carol Ann Gallant (Jim) and Robert (predeceased). Grandpa of Rebecca, Timothy, Michael, Sarah and Matthew and great-grandfather of Jack, Morgan, Ewen, Brock, Colton, Colin, Emma and Isabella. John will be missed by his sisters Shirley Davis and Sheila Hoinkes, sisters-in-law Mary Cowan and Marlene Pilcher, predeceased by his brother Bruce. John will be fondly remembered by all his many friends including Jack Thomson and all those he worked with over 38 years at General Motors. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oakwood Community Centre on Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 2 - 6pm. For those wishing, donations to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation or the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated in lieu of flowers or other gifts.
