Eason, Dorothy Viola

July 19, 1921 – September 14, 2017

Entered into rest at her home at the age of 96. Dorothy Gilbert was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Eason (1971). Loving mother of Gordon (Lynn Dee) and Gail. Cherished grandmother of Matthew (Emily) and Heather. The last of her generation, she was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses: Ethel Wright (Fred), Edith Kean (Gord), Mabel Knight (Ed), Myrna Montgomery (Don), Jack Gilbert, Arthur Gilbert (Merrill); and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wilfred Eason (Pearl), Violet Baker (Pat), Orvil Eason (Dot). Family and friends are invited to call at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Thursday, September 21, from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, September 22, at Celebrations, the former Queen Street United Church, 35 Lindsay Street North from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Memorial donations to the charity or organization of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
