Ednie, Alexander ``Alex``- Retired 30 year employee of General Motors, after a long illness passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Beloved husband of Betha for 42 loving years. Will be deeply missed by his children Tim (Rebecca) and Carrie. Cherished grandfather of Jameson, Spencer, Theodore, Matthew and Dylan. Brother of Robert ``Bob`` (Doryce). Predeceased by his parents Robert and Jessie and his brother Tom. Alex will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. There will be a celebration of Alex`s life held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Saturday January 17th. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Memorial donations to the Spinal Cord Rehab Fund Lyndhurst Center -Toronto Rehab Foundation or the Ross Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
