Alexander (Sandy) Abernethy entered into rest with his wife, Shirley, and daughter Ruth, by his side, at 9:30 pm, on September 13th, 2022, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener.  He had been the loving husband of Shirley for 67 years. Sandy was brother of the late Ellen VanBlarcom (NEE Abernethy) of Kentville, Nova Scotia, and the late Joyce Taylor (NEE Abernethy) of Bowmanville, Ontario.
