Austin William Wiltshire - an avid curler and Icemaker at Oshawa, Lindsay and Oakwood Curling Clubs. Austin played the euphonium for over 70 years, most recently with the Salvation Army Band, the Kawartha Kavaliers and the Peterborough and Oshawa Concert Bands. Austin enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his kids and grandkids. Austin passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday June 17, 2019 at the age of 89 surrounded by family. Cherished husband of Shirley (née Naylor) for 65 years. Beloved father of Gary (Jill), Paul and Jeffrey (Stacey). Cherished by his Grandchildren: Jamie (Jamie-Lee), Michelle (Matt), and Matthew and great-grandchildren: Sophie and Austin. Fondly Remembered by Shane and Justin Smith and their families. Survived by his sister in law Jean Wiltshire and predeceased by his brother Rod of Oshawa. Visitation will be held at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Thursday, June 20th from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 am Reception to follow. Interment of cremated remains to take place at Riverside Cemetery Lindsay. Memorial donations in memory of Austin may be made to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation Auxiliary Department where Austin just completed 10 years as a volunteer.
