Obituary for Jean Burton
Burton, B. Jean - (September 14, 1934 - March 24, 2021) Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and a Best Friend to many.
Mom led an amazing life of grace and devotion. Born September 14, 1934 to Bella and Clifford Deline, and youngest sister to Bessie and Doris. Mom married Dad (Frank) and had almost 63 years of joy that included becoming a mother to Pamela, Edward, Leah, Lori (John), Cynthia (Scott), and Crystal (Peter). Eventually the family grew to include grandchildren: Christina, (Tom). Ryan, Brittaney, Kendra, Breanna (Jon), Benjamin, Alexandria, Eric, Megan (Nick), and Madelyn; as well as great-grandchildren Sam, Darby, and Gavin. Throughout Mom's life, she worked in a variety of fields, including Bell, as a medical secretary that eventually led to returning to school to become a nurse at age 40, which she did for 22+ years. No matter where life took her, traveling to Florida, Europe, or across Canada, mom was always full of faith, a great work ethic, and LOVE for ALL of life's adventures and challenges. Mom's last challenge was MDS. All medical personnel were amazed at her grit to continue on. We love you mom, and are grateful everyday for your love and guidance. Rest in Peace. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 45 Russell St. W., Lindsay on Monday, March 29th at 12 noon. In-person attendance is limited to invite-only. If you wish to attend the service virtually, please do so by following the link below at 11:45am (15 minutes prior to service time) on Monday, March 29th. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby. If desired, memorial donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Durham Regional Cancer Centre, or the Ross Memorial Hospital - Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
