Obituary for Bertie Charles McPhail

McPhail, Bertie Charles (July 17, 1923) - It is with deep sorrows, and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bertie (Bert) Charles McPhail in Lindsay on October 5, 2019 in his 96th year. Bert was the beloved husband of the late Myrtle Liscombe. Survived by his brothers Everett and Victor McPhail. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Willard, Earl, Donald, David, Henrietta, Grace, Betty, and Lyla. Loving father of Brian, Patricia and the late Bradley McPhail. Proud stepfather to Betty, George, Susan and Margaret, also the late Hazel, Henry and Ronald Holder. He will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of extended friends and family. Bert was a very loving, patient, kind and generous soul. Known by many as a prankster, joker and jack of all trades. He could always be found in the garage tinkering away, fixing something. A celebration of life will be planned by the family at a later date.

My condolences I leave to the family of Bert McPhail and I am so sorry for his passing. He did live a long and exciting life and he was a very generous man as I remember back in the 80s a friend of mine who has passed years ago she brought me to Bert's place so I can get a little washer for a very reasonable price. He also moved all my stuff in his little truck which he pretty packed himself everything I owned was on his little truck and I was amazed he was able to get everything on it. He was a very dear and kind ole soul he was and it is a loss that he isn't here but he's in a better place free of pain, and one day you all will see him again, my blessings to you all.:(
