McPhail, Bertie Charles (July 17, 1923) - It is with deep sorrows, and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bertie (Bert) Charles McPhail in Lindsay on October 5, 2019 in his 96th year. Bert was the beloved husband of the late Myrtle Liscombe. Survived by his brothers Everett and Victor McPhail. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Willard, Earl, Donald, David, Henrietta, Grace, Betty, and Lyla. Loving father of Brian, Patricia and the late Bradley McPhail. Proud stepfather to Betty, George, Susan and Margaret, also the late Hazel, Henry and Ronald Holder. He will be dearly missed by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of extended friends and family. Bert was a very loving, patient, kind and generous soul. Known by many as a prankster, joker and jack of all trades. He could always be found in the garage tinkering away, fixing something. A celebration of life will be planned by the family at a later date.
