Lester, Betty Harriet ~ entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in her 93rd year. Betty Barber was the daughter of the late William Barber and Grace Nicholls of Fenelon Falls. Beloved wife of Dr. Nelson Lester, Veterinarian at the Lindsay Animal Clinic for fifty years. Cherished mother of John Lester and the late Sharon (1967). Predeceased by brother John (Jack) Arkley Barber and sister Verna Marie Quibell. Much loved Aunt of Gary (Audrey) Quibell of Cameron, Sue (Eric) Allen of Fenelon Falls, Richard Barber of Saint John, NB, David (Nancy) Lester of Cobourg, Douglas (Brenda) Lester of Stratford, the late Donna-Lee Brumwell, and their families. Betty Lester was a long time Life Member of the Lindsay Central Exhibition and served as Chairman of their Homecraft Division for over twenty five years. Mrs. Lester will be resting at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Tuesday, May 9th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday, May 10th from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 10th at 1:00pm. Interment at Riverside Cemetery.
