It is with great sadness that I received this news this morning. Blake was one of my students in my first year teaching at Weldon, and I'll never forget many of the boys in that crew. Blake was a fun student to teach and wasn't afraid to get into those 'chirping battles' Hayden mentions in his post with anyone, myself included. Blake also put me in touch with his grandmother at the Omemee vet, who helped my wife and I adopt our first pets, so I often thought of him and how students from 15 years ago can have such an impact on our lives. I knew of his struggles from teaching Connor, and I always wished the best for him. My condolences to his family and friends.

I miss the mornings, arriving early to the Ex. Blake was the only one there before me. Getting things done, cheerful and always busy. Everyone knew his name and he knew everyone’s order. We passed a lot of time together over many years of events. We had a lot of fun. He felt like family. We didn’t always agree on music but when we did...

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I
Would like to say to you but I don't know how

Sad to see you go.
Love, Jennifer
(Plus friends and family of the Wandering Bean)

From reading to me when I was just a baby, to taking care and playing with me when I was younger to checking up on me every once and awhile to see how I was or asking to go for a drink, you were such a loving and caring man and an amazing brother, I will miss you dearly. Love you big bro ❤️ Till I see you again
