The family of David Mooney are devastated to announce his passing on June 21, 2023 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay after a courageous battle with cancer. Defying the odds and overachieving until the end. He was transported three times by Ornge Air Ambulance to PRHC and TGH. David was the cherished husband and best friend of Carol (Hutton) for 60 years. They were inseparable. He was the loving and proud father of three sons, Jesse, Jason and Mark (Susan). They are heart broken to lose him but understand the pain and suffering that he was experiencing. He loved and adored his three granddaughters, Lindsay (Marcus) Churcher, Myracle Mooney and Caroline (Matt) Braithwaite. Also four great granddaughters, Julia, Jocelyn, Josie and Aimee. David was loved like a close brother to his sister-in-law's, Patricia Worden, Rosalie Smith, Helen (Bill) Read, and Esther Brown. They loved him for the kind gentle soul that he was. He will be missed by his brother-in-law Michael (Sharon) Hutton. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. David loved to golf and was pretty good at it. He will be greatly missed by his golfing friends Gary (Pat) Clarke, Bruce (Carole) Glass, and Ted (Diane) Abbot. He loved all of them and enjoyed their visits when he was too weak to play golf. They were all very vigilant and loving to him.

Would also like to thank Carol's guardian angel, Patricia Clarke for being beside her every step of the way and helping her to stay strong and would do anything for her. She was always there to help in any way. Would also like to thank David's Home Care, Chad Peterson. His love and care for David was unbelievable. They became very good friends and respected each other. 

Thank you to the wonderful staff of the Ross Memorial Hospital for the special care and support. Also, thank you to our sweet Doctor Cody Bowen. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church, Lindsay on June 30th at 1:00.
