Condolence: My deepest condolences to David"s Family. Raymond, he was so proud of you and would say that you were the chip out of the old block. I had the honour of being David's friend for 43 years, he always encouraged me to go to continue my education in Toronto,as hard as it was to fulfill this goal, David would always answer my calls when I wanted to give up! He always called me "Kid" and was very happy when I became a Paramedic in Toronto, without his encouragement,I would never would have achieved what I did. Rest In Peace,Dear Friend,Thank you for the great Memories and your Wonderful Laughter.Shakespears Sonnet 13,is Forever ingrained in my Heart. David, you are an amazing Inspiration. I will look up at The Stars to see your sparl;ing eyes, full of mischief and kindness. xo

Condolence: My sympathies to Dave's family and relatives. This is a great loss. I have memories of Dave being around our house a lot during high school and in later years; we lunched in Toronto when he was considering changing directions in university. I remember also his help with the Kawartha Kavaliers. Much later, I appreciated Dave's help when we were co-executors of my mother's will. Rest in peace, Dave.

Condolence: To Red, Jeff and Raymond and their families. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of David's death. I was his legal secretary for the first 10 years of his practice in Lindsay. He was also my high school science teacher at CHS in Blackstock a few years earlier. He was a great boss and friend and I will miss him. I hadn't talked to David for a couple of years. This is a perfect example that you shouldn't put things off or it will be too late.

Condolence From: Norm and Clare Tompkins
Condolence: Such sad news. We will miss David's quick wit and never-ending memories from high school. He and Norm were part of the "Moose Booster" club at LCI (LCVI) and part of so many other off the wall fun groups. As a friend he was always there in times of need. He could bring a smile to your face so easily with his dry sense of humour. We will not be able to attend at the Olympia but we will be there in spirit. Our prayers and thoughts go out to David's family, Sue and his many friends. He will be truly missed.

Condolence From: Raymond Selbie
Condolence: I add my voice both in sorrow for the passing of a great lawyer and friend but also in thanksgiving for his presence in our lives. David has been a constant mentor, friend, adversary and political pundant to me for the last 40 years. I am especially thankful that he spearheaded a recent initiative by our Law Association to form a lawyer assistance group available to our sisters and brothers who feel the presence of life's pressure in an overwhelming way. I pray that this initiative may continue. May the strength and intelligence that he exemplified as well as the love sent from his companions and friends be a healing balm for the family.

Condolence From: Sandra Junkin
Condolence: My sincere condolences to David's family and friends. I met David too many years ago to mention; we were in high school; he was in a band!. Through the years, our paths crossed. He articled at Don Warner's office while I was working there; I worked for a stint at various offices where David was a partner. I have so many happy memories (the day I gave him the wrong key and sent him to the branch office in Omemee; he returned and I inadvertently gave him another wrong key! He retaliated months later by putting a skeletal foot in my desk drawer, shocking the daylights out of me....) He told stories of furnishing apartments while going through law school. I am sure everyone who knew David has many great stories. May they give you strength in the difficult days ahead.
