Donald Algar ~ Entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, on Saturday April 8, 2023 at the age of 90. Don was the beloved husband of Margaret Hogan for 67 years.  Don is the loving father of Chris Algar and Cathy Algar and predeceased by daughter Madeline "Bunny" Deegan, son Ted Algar and daughter-in-law Janice Algar. Don is survived by his daughter-in-law Marlene Algar, sisters-in-law Doris Algar, Pat Hogan, Rose Mary (Don Quibell).  Cherished by his grandchildren Shannon (Adam), Jessica (Ryan), Chad (Amanda), Shawn (Lyndsey), Jena-Lyn (Neil), Kristen and Cayley (Kai) also his great grandchildren Callie, Lexie, Kellen, Wesley, Lucy, Spencer and Myles. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Hope Begley (Jack), Mac Algar (Lynn), Bette Hutcheson (Dennis), Walter Algar, Madeline Porter (Ray), Shirley Algar, Jack Algar, Pat Godding (Gary), Barbara Jane Algar and  brother-in-law Pat Hogan. Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Thursday April 13, 2023 from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Thursday April 13, 2023 at 11:30am for 11:45am service in the chapel. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made by cheque at the funeral home on online at www.mackeys.ca
