I learned yesterday that my childhood best friend passed away. Dorian and I were practically inseparable in high school. We went to our first concert together (David Bowie - Exhibition Place), we were in school plays together (he was Schroeder - pictured), ski trips, all the things teenagers did. We headed out to different universities but still got together for great times. From Winterlude, to swimming across the Rideau Canal (I took the long way around over the bridge), and the ski trips with the guys at Tremblant (I broke my arm, he had to pay cash to get it set), they were times I have always remembered fondly. Dorian always had such a joy of living. Heather and Sinclair, I am so sorry I missed his celebration. Pete did his best to connect with me. Thinking of the 2 of you at these times. Take care of each other.

I just learned a few days ago about Dorian. He was a great friend of mine during my days at Carleton. He was so funny and such a loyal friend. Just out of Carleton he was the only one of us that owned a truck. He was constantly helping people move or pick up furniture without even having to ask. I can't stop thinking of him in these past few days and how many laughs we shared and what a terrific and loyal friend he was.

Dorian, you were always larger than life, and such a wonderful friend. We will always remember your sense of humour, love for life, and love of all things butter tart! You were one in a million, and are going to truly be missed. Rest peacefully my friend, we will meet again.
Love and condolences,

I was saddened to hear that Dorian had passed.
I met Dorion when we lived on 4th Russell at Carleton. I was always struck by Dorian's tremendous energy and self confidence. He enjoyed having a good time and encouraged all around him to do the same.
Sincere condolences to the family. I am sure you have many fond memories to treasure.

Dear Heather and Sinclair. My heart goes out to both of you in this very difficult time. It was such a pleasure to have worked with Dorian at Ottawa Valve for several years. He was such a wonderful personality and had the best sense of humour. Please accept my condolences, he will truly be missed.
