Obituary for Dorothy DeNure

DeNure, Dorothy Ann - Died on Monday September 19th, 2022. She lived her last days with the same optimistic sunny outlook that she lived her whole life. Dorothy was raised on a farm on the edge of Port Perry, the daughter of Clarence and Luella Graham. There she met the charming, sports car driving Fred DeNure, whose family was in the bus business. Dorothy and Fred DeNure married and moved to Lindsay in 1957, raised a family, together built an international travel business and made friends everywhere they went. She leaves behind a wonderfully legacy of optimism, hope and kindness for all who knew her, especially to her family: Raymond and Judy DeNure, Steven and Alison DeNure, Susan and Steve Dzioba, and her grandchildren and their partners: Andrew and Rebecca, Simon and Katie, Carly and Dina, Oliver and Sabine, Graham and Sylviane, Derek, Claire and Iain Bryant, Paul Dzioba and Diana and Erin Dzioba. She was thrilled to welcome her great grandchildren Hope, William, Lucas and the recently arrived Eloise. She was grateful for the kind care and attention of the staff at Adelaide Place, her home for the last few years. She is missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Saturday, October 8th from 2:00 pm until 5:00pm with a program at 3:00 pm. Private interment will have taken place.  Dorothy was interested in many, many things including trees, flowers, and the annual Dream Ball.  If desired, donations to the Arthritis Society of Canada or the Boys and Girls Club, Kawartha's Dream Ball Summer Camps are also welcome.
