December 14th, 1940 - January 19th, 2023

Douglas Gordon Boddy passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario on the 19th day of January 2023, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Sandy (nee Akehurst). Dear father of Doug Jr. (Sheila), Christine (Joe Owen), Bob (Kathy Nesbitt), Dwayne, John (Natalie). Stepfather to Kim (Martin Wagget), Mark Greenslade (Mike Lamothe). Brother of David (predeceased Gloria), predeceased by sisters Mary, Laura, and parents Norman and Edith. Loving Grampa/Papa to Jackie (Rich Myran), Michael Boddy (Beth), Anna Marie Boddy, Aly & Chad Owen, Tabitha Nesbitt, Nathan Combdon, Brad (Shelby) & Kyle Doyle. Great-Grandpa to Jocelyn, Odin, Myles, Olivia, Nicholas, Jacob, Logan, Michala, Gregory and Ryan. Brother in law to Susan (John Ashdown), Cathi (Lex Mackenzie), predeceased by Paul Akehurst (Joanne Winslow-Spragge). Doug will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at Fairview Baptist Church, 130 Colborne Street West, Lindsay, Ontario on Tuesday, January 24th, 2023 at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fairview Baptist Church or The Canadian Cancer Society.
