Obituary for Jack Satterwhite

With heartfelt sadness, the family of Eric "Jack" Satterwhite announce his sudden passing on June 24, 2020, peacefully in his sleep at home in Coquitlam, B.C., surrounded by their love. He was born in Simcoe, Ontario, on June 20, 1939, which was his grandfather's birthday. From that time on, he was known to all of his family and friends as Jack after his grandfather. Jack and his family lived just outside Lindsay, in Oakwood, Ontario for 36 years before moving Coquitlam, B.C. in 2010. Jack was the beloved husband and best friend of Helen Satterwhite (O'Loughlin), and the loving father of Lori, Jackie, and Glen. Dear brother of Dorothy (Henry) Felhaber of Ottawa, and cherished uncle of her Dudek family; Gloria, Robert (Ruth), Kathy (Reginald), Darrell (Donna), Lorrie (Lothar), and predeceased by Debbie (Raymond). Devoted grandfather to AJ and Keira, and their mother, Johanna (Jasmins). Predeceased by parents Glenwood and Florence Satterwhite (Harper). Dear brother-in-law of Ann (Ralph) Ballam, Paul (Susan) O'Loughan, Rita (the late Phil) Jackson of Rideau Ferry, Jane Andrews of Guelph, Cheryl (the late Pat) O'Loughlin, and Doreen (the late John) O'Loughlin. Dear brother-in-law of predeceased; Michael (Violet) O'Loughlin, Mary (Jim) Ballam, Peter O'Loughlin, and nephew Johnny O'Loughlin. Dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. Dearly loved by the Therrien family. Jack had a passion for fishing, cooking, gardening, and bird watching. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed driving and traveling the countryside.

Eternal rest be given unto you, Jack, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon you. May you rest in peace Jack. Amen.

Jack's Celebration of Life will be led by the Rev. David Stevens online at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
