Eva Wilson  Jan. 23, 1920 - Jan. 08, 2022

Eva passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Mary St. Lindsay, on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in her 102nd year. She is now reunited with the love of her life and dear husband the late George Moase. She was the eldest child of the late Isabel and Wilfred Power. Loving mother of the late Karen (survived by Chuck Waterhouse). Proud grandmother of Ryan Heatlie and his partner Julie Green. Predeceased by her grandson, Jason Heatlie. Eva is survived by her sister Lottie O’Brien. Eva and Lottie were recently reunited at Caressant Care and they had several visits for reminiscing and holding hands. Many thanks to her cousin, Wendy Raffo, who got pleasure from getting the sisters together. Wendy made every effort to do their hair and share photos with the family. Eva is predeceased by her brother Bruce Power and her youngest sister Vera Worsley. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews. The effort by the generations to attend reunions in honour of their Aunt Eva and Aunt Lottie was a tribute to the strong sense of family that was shared. Her longevity may be attributed to her love of walking. This became obvious when macular degeneration forced her to give up driving a car. She would be spotted walking all over Lindsay, ensuring her continuing independence. If she was offered a ride, she would politely decline and continue to walk home. Over the years, she could be found hanging out at dances with the Elbow Room Band Family. Her daughter Karen, kept her young, dancing the night away. Eva was always very appreciative of the kind and attentive care she received by the staff at Caressant Care, especially after Karen's passing. A celebration of Eva's life will be held at the Miller Memorial Cemetery (Pleasant Point Cemetery), Little Britain on Thursday, May 12th at 12:00noon.
