Obituary for Evelyn Reedman

Evelyn Irene Reedman (nee Humphrey)

With shock and great sadness, we share that Evelyn passed away as a result of heart failure at the age of 86 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario.  Evelyn was the beloved wife, best friend and soulmate of Norman for 60 years.  Evelyn was the daughter of the late Sterling and Bernice Humphrey of Gananoque, Ontario, and was predeceased by her brother Walter Humphrey.  Evelyn was the loving mother of Randy (Darlene) and Laurie (Robert).  Cherished grandmother of Audrey Tan, Hayley (Andrew) Shepherd, Hunter Reedman and Gabrielle Tan.  Adoring great-grandmother of Harper Shepherd.  Beloved aunt of Cleat (Krista) Humphrey and Pamela (Raymond) Shea, and great-aunt of Kaela (Justin) Shea, Bronwyn Shea, Brianna (Matthew) Shea and Bailey Humphrey.

Evelyn possessed a quiet personality.  She grew beautiful gardens at her homes in Lindsay, sewed countless amazing quilts, and did all sorts of yarn crafts and tatting.  Evelyn was a long-standing member of the UCW at Cambridge Street United Church, where she also sang in the choir for many years. Visitation was held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street Lindsay on Sunday, February 26th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  A service was held at Cambridge Street United Church on Monday, February 27th at 11:00am followed with interment at Riverside Cemetery.
