Bertha "Evelyne" English, (née Stevens) ~ RN ~ Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in her 86th year at the Ross Memorial Hospital Lindsay. Evelyne went to Heaven to be with her cherished husband Alwyn for their 62nd wedding anniversary. Loving Mother of Jim and Ruth, Steve and Jennifer English both of Lindsay, and Judy and Stephen Henley of Raleigh, North Carolina. Cherished Grandma of Kristen and Philip; Matthew, Mark and April; Dann and Erica Greenway, Logan, Justin (predeceased), Shayna, Colton and Kendra. Loving Great Grandma of Hayden; Hannah and George. Evelyne is predeceased by her beloved parents Edward and Myra Stevens. Dear sister of Ben (Rhona), Betty Barabulea (and the late Mike), Jim (and the late Bev), the late Arthur, Margaret Locke (and the late John), Charlie (Evey). Predeceased by sisters-in-laws Velma Stevens, Marg Stevens, and brother-in-law Doug Mollon. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, kind neighbours and friends. Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home on Thursday, January 3rd from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Friday, January 4, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
