Florence Ilene James – Florence passed away peacefully, knowing the love of her family was with her on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Ross Memorial Hospital. Florence was predeceased by her loving husband Harold James of 69 years. Cherished mother of Philip (Helen), Gord, Ken (Jean), and Valerie (Ed Call). Loving Grandmother and GG. Predeceased by her daughter Marlene and brothers Bert, Jack and Len (Audrey) and sister Doreen (Jack McDougall) and brother in law Bud Miller. Survived by her sister Joyce and sister-in-law Doreen. She will be missed by her extended family and friends. With her husband, Florence received the "Citizen of the Year Award" in 1970, from the town Lindsay. Both Harold and Florence devoted their time volunteering with highlights in Boy Scouts and St. John’s Ambulance. After their retirement, they were dedicated to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, the community and their family.

Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Sunday, October 20th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 21st at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 45 Russell Street West, Lindsay from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to St. Paul’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
