Margaret Campbell

My best memories are of Uncle Gerald at their cottage on Lake Kashobogg. He was always puttering around or enjoying a beer on a hot day. He never came in swimming with us, saying the water was too wet for him. One day when I was in swimming a water snake came slithering towards me. I'll never forget him grabbing an oar from the boat, picking that snake up with it and tossing it into the bushes. I think he was more worried than I was! He tolerated our attempts to style what little hair he had into something weird and wonderful. Later, when I started working, he was always interested in my job and the company I worked for, and was always up on what was going on corporately and around the world. I saw him as someone very wise, fun and loving under that gruff exterior. I'll miss him dearly.
