Ruth Gladys Goodin (nee Ewert)

Ruth “Gladys” Goodin entered into rest peacefully with her family by her side on October 20th, 2022 at Ross Memorial Hospital Lindsay, Ontario. Gladys Ewert was born in Bladworth, Saskatchewan on September 21st, 1928 to the late Ralph Ewert and Bertha Mathers. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Goodin (d 1977) and loving mother to Lyle (Barbara), Larry “Spanky” (Lisa), Roberta (deceased as infant), Leann O'Connell (Edward), Louise Long (Murray) and Lynda Goodin (Frank Vehof). Dear sister to Elsie McGregor, Hazel Olson, Mabel Wiley and the late Audrie Tadei, Ernest Ewert, Paula Hodgins, her twin Glen Ewert, and Roger Ewert. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Annette Ewert. Gladys was loved and will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Special thanks to the many caregivers and friends at Lakeland Village in Lindsay for their kindness and support. Also many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for their excellent care. We will all greatly miss her humour, her feisty independence, and the mischievous twinkle in her eye. A private service and interment was held at the Emily Omemee Cemetery.
