Obituary for Grace Junkin

Grace Annetta Junkin (née Anderson) (proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #67, Ladies Auxillary) – It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mom, after a brief illness on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay in her 100th year. Thank you to the nurses and doctors, for their excellent and compassionate care. Beloved wife of the late James Clarence Junkin. Grace is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Emma Anderson, as well as her siblings James (Mabel), Aileen (Ernest), Dorothy (Wilbert), Olive (Robert) and Edith (Malcolm). Loving mother of Murray (Elizabeth), Brenda (the late Warren), the late Larry (survived by Suzanne), and Alan (Patricia). Adored by her grandchildren Lisa (Andrew), Amy (Ryan), Adam (Julie), Michael (Erin), Trevor (Ashley), Kevin (Julie), James, Victoria (Paul), James (Jamie), and Mark (Nicole) and by her great-grandchildren Erin, Nathan, Jack, Grace, Ella, Maggie, Vanessa, Lacey, Emma, Kate, and Maëlle. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Many thanks to the friendly, caring nurses and staff at William Place Retirement Home where Mom lived happily and content for the past two and a half years. She enjoyed many family visits, and the activities offered, especially Bingo. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 27th at 12:00p.m. with visitation for one hour prior at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.
