Hartley Chester Ellis - entered into rest at home on Wednesday August 21, 2019 at the age of 87. Hartley Ellis, was the beloved husband of the late Rhoda Bowland (1998). Dear father of Sheila and her husband Richard Van Nes of Toronto, Brian and his wife Kim of Scarborough, Susan and her husband Daniel Brown of Uxbridge. Predeceased by his daughter Heather Coulson and sister Winnifred Snodgrass. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jeremy, Callie, Matthew and his wife Shannon, Holly, Emily, Stephanie, Olivia, Sage, Victoria, Nikolas, Michael and his great-granddaughter Zeda. Cremation has taken place at Riverside Crematorium, Lindsay. A service to celebrate Hartley’s life will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family and may be made at the Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay or online www.mackeys.ca
