Clifton, James MacLaren – Passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Ross Memorial Hospital at the age of 88. Jim is the beloved husband of Doris Clifton in their 58th year of marriage. Loving Dad to Janice Clifton and Daryl Clifton. Cherished Papa of 8 grandchildren, Brittany, Aaron, Keianna, Nathan, Melody, Ashley, Rylynne, and Mileena. Jim was born in Hastings, England on May 11, 1931. He served both countries proudly; 5 years in the England RAF and the Canadian Army – Peace Keeping for 3 years. Now he is in the presence of his Saviour which he loved and served so well. Jim enjoyed sing-a-long’s at Frost Manor Nursing Home and William Place Retirement Home. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Friday, June 28 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and at Fairview Baptist Church, 130 Colborne Street West, Lindsay on Saturday, June 29th from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. a funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Markham.
