Janet Ann Nicholas (nee Smart) - Ann, in her 79th year, had suffered a massive stroke and entered into rest peacefully with family by her side at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on March 15th, 2019. She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Jean Watson and Mary Eleanor Smart. Ann was the beloved aunt of Susan Forrester (Michael), Janet Porter (Philip) and Sarah Felten (Stéphane). Loving great aunt to Zach and Dustin Forrester, Julia (Wes) Meek, Jessica (Peter) Shea, Harvey, Charlotte and Eleanor Porter, and Mathis Felten, and great great aunt to Aaron Shea and Nova Meek. Predeceased by her nephews, David and Robert Watson, her niece, Ruthie Bewley, and her brother-in-law, Dr. Robert Watson. Ann was a creative visual artist throughout her life and had been an active participant in the Port Hope arts community. As per Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of Ann's cremated remains at Stone Church Cemetery Beaverton will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
