Joan Arnetta Cadieux (nee Baxter) 1925-2022 Joan, born in Toronto, Ontario on June 17, 1925, passed peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on November 12, 2022. Joan worked at CIBC in Stouffville during WWII, Cadieux Studio Photography, and volunteered for many years at Bon Air LTCF Cannington. Joan was very talented in music, piano/singing, artist of oil paintings, arts and crafts, interior/exterior design and a devoted wife and home maker.
Joan met Edmund (Ted) Clifford Cadieux in High School at age 14 Ted was 16. Married him January 26, 1946 when he returned from Air force service in WWII. They ran Cadieux Studio Photography Stouffville until 1973 then moved to Cannington. Ted changed careers working as a Broker forBirkett-Hassard Insurance commuting to Stouffville.
Joan is predeceased by her parents Truman and Laura Baxter, Sister Marion Murphy, and her much loved husband of 68 years, Edmund (Ted) Clifford Cadieux. Joan was a loving Mother to her children, Michael Kent Cadieux, Trudy-Ellen Valleau (nee Cadieux) (deceased), Edmund James Cadieux, daughter-in-law Moira Cadieux (nee McBeth), grandchildren Jeffrey Cadieux, Paul/Kristin McBeth (nee Cadieux), Jonathan/Tina Cadieux, Stephen Cadieux, Caitlin (nee Valleau)/Aidan Ball, great grandchildren Addisyn, Colton, Dakota (deceased), Weston and Anderson.
To honour Joan's final wishes, there will be neither service nor celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “The Canadian Lung Association” or a charity of one's choice. Donations and condolences may be made through Mackey Funeral Home or online at www.mackeys.ca
