John (Jack) Laverne Thurston, Entered peacefully into rest with family by his side at Victoria Manor on Thursday April 25, 2019. Jack, in his 87th year, is the beloved husband of Anna Louise Thurston in their 62nd year of marriage. Loving father of Joe Thurston (Mary), Janet VanderVeen (Dale), Jeff Thurston and June Thurston. Cherished grandpa of Holly Leier (Brett), Daniel Thurston (Stephanie), Kendra Thurston (Jesse), and Graiden VanderVeen. He will be missed by many nieces nephews, extended family and friends. Dear brother of Betty McMullen and Bill Thurston, both predeceased. Loving son of Vernald and Eliza Thurston, both predeceased. Visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay, on Friday May 17, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm. A celebration of life will take place at Dunsford United Church on Saturday May 18, 2019 at 11:00 am, reception to follow.
