Obituary for David Robertson
John “David” Robertson passed away on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, in Lindsay, at the age of 83, after a very full, interesting, and most fortunate life. David was born in Ottawa, May 6, 1940, to Delmar and Evelyn Robertson, the second of 4 children.
David would tell you his best years were spent on The Robertson 1867 Farm, on the Scotch Line, and his greatest accomplishment was being a father. He shall live on through his offspring Katrina (Anthony & Alex), Christopher (Jessica), and Jessie (Michael). He sends many thanks to the enigmatic Maria Robertson (‘Mi mensa et thoro’) for mothering his children.
His surviving sisters are Susan Snider (Dennis d.), Nancy Griffin (Wayne), and Jane Robertson. David, along with his many poignant and humorous missives, will be dearly missed by all his extended family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of Elvis, sense of humour, and unwavering strength until the very end.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
