Stanley Joseph Norris – It is with great sadness and love, that the family announces the peaceful passing of Stanley at the Ross Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 16th at the age of 96. Stan is the beloved husband of Irene Norris (née Whitney) for 71 years. Loving father of Jane Scott (Ron Croxall) and Debby Cooker (John). Cherished grandfather of Emma and Robin Scott. Dear brother of Kaye Fleury (Evans), Anne Meehan (Paul), Laura Ketchen (John), Sally Wilson (Jed), Jeanette Mills (Trevor) and predeceased by sister, June Gemmill (Pat), brother Spencer Norris “Bub” and parents Joe and Evelyn Norris. Stanley will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Stan will be cherished always for his gentle kindness, generous heart, sweet smile and love for all. He always had a good story or joke to tell and many a song to sing.

Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, November 20th from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, November 21st from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery followed by a reception at Celebrations. If desired, a memorial donation to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 67 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
