Elaine, Gordon and Bruce Jackson

We wish to plant a tree in memory of June Virginia Burke, mother of our son-in-law Randy Burke, beloved mother-in-law of our daughter, Cathy, and our friend. May this tree in bloom attract many honey bees in honour of a wonderful woman who worked side-by-side with her husband Douglas Burke in their honey business for so many years. June's variety of talents included a courageous spirit, the nurturing of others, and last but not least, the creation of many beautiful works of stained glass art.

I remember Mr and Mrs Burke as good friends of my parents Laurence and Olive Evans and our whole family! The youngest of the eight, it was a huge highlight in all of our lives to have Burke's honey in the house! For some reason, I was quite sure that the little dots of honey on the inside of the lid were the absolute best :)
I remember visits from the Burkes and was thrilled that they attended our wedding in Uxbridge. Their graciousness and kindness will always stay with me as a special memories of childhood and young adult life.
My condolences to the family at the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. June Burke was a very special lady and made a great impact on many lives. May God comfort you each one.

Dear Mr. Burke and family. Although you probably do not know me by name, I bought honey from both you and your gracious wife for years while you still had the business. My Grandparents, Cecil and Mabel Chambers made claim that you had the best honey in the country. They used to say there were healing elements in your honey and they used it as tonic. They would take one teaspoon each morning for medicinal purposes and I adopted the same ritual. I find it hard to locate the quality of honey you used to produce however when I do I now also use it as tonic. I am saddened to read of your wife’s death. My heart is rejoicing knowing of her faith and that she witless be our Lord Jesus Christ throughout eternity. Although I do not know you and your family my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of bereavement.
