Obituary for Keith Eggleton

We are saddened to announce the passing of Keith Eggleton born to Gladys and Donald Eggleton in Omemee June 3rd 1945.   Keith was the loving partner, soul mate and husband of Carol Eggleton (nee Stacey) for 54 years.  Loving father to Kerri-Lynn and Andrea. Cherished grandfather to Liam and Benjamin Edney.  After graduating from highschool where he was actively involved in wrestling, football and hockey, he worked as a salesperson for Hudson Bay Company where he established a new territory of sales.  Following his career in Hudson Bay he transitioned to driving truck for the companies Laidlaw and Transprovincial trucking.  The need to be an entrepreneur brought them to back to farming and running a commercial business in the areas around Omemee. Keith loved Christmas and any holiday that included family and food that offered a cozy and caring atmosphere.  The life of retail sales changed to different venues and locations where new friends we made.  Farming was still a part of Keith's and Carols lives as Keith slowed down, but it was after a severe injury at the farm where he was hospitalized and this injury required increased individual care to support him as he lived at Victoria Manor.  Passing away peacefully November 30, 2023 at the age of 78. In keeping with Keith's wishes there will not be a celebration of life, cremation has taken place.  If desired, memorial donation to the Sickkids Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made by cheque at Mackey Funeral Home or online at: Please Click Here

Keith:

May the road rise up to meet you

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

The rains fall softly upon your fields

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
