Obituary for Kimberley Faas

Kimberley Suzanne "MacDonald" Faas, age 58, passed away peacefully Saturday June 20, 2020 at 11:10 a.m. in her home after a 6 1/2 year long battle with cancer. Kim was a strong willed and compassionate person and during her battle with cancer never complained. Kim had the special ability to make friends everywhere she went.

She loved traveling. Visiting her Aunt Jackie and Papa Doug at their cottage on the Amhurst Shore in Nova Scotia, Cruising the Caribbean and flying to the Netherlands visiting family were her favorites.

Kim was a dedicated Mother. She treasured her two children, Craig and Kevin, and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gram Gram to Emma, Mason, and Charlotte.

She married her best friend and love Rene, in April of 1980.

Kim had a long and illustrious career with Scotiabank spanning 40 years.

Kim was born in August 1961 in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia to Daniel MacDonald and Mary-Jane (Smith) MacDonald.

She had an older brother Sander, and younger sister Cathy, who she both loved dearly.

Kim loved and had very special relationships with all her Aunts, Uncles, and the many cousins, nephews and nieces in her life.

When we take our vows and say, "until death do us part," it means that even when we lose our wife we are still left with that special love that burns inside. Clinging to that love inside of me, even if it can no longer be physically expressed, will still carry me and sustain me in your passing.
I thoroughly enjoyed my life with you. Kim, you were my best friend, my Wife and Mother to our two wonderful children.
I will love you forever.
Rene.....
