Leona Margaret Strong (nee Mitchell) passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on Mon., August 1, 2022 in her 83rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Roy Strong, Mother of Lewis, Heather Gaynor (Roy), and Jeffery (Yolanda), cherished sister Betty Lou Beacock (Don) and Grandma to Jeff, Bill, Cory, Stanley (deceased). Leona was born on the family farm in Ballyduff and lived her life in the village of Pontypool. She enjoyed life and loved her cards.  It was said she rarely lost a game.  Music was her next love and she spent hours taping her favourite music to be replayed over & over again. Visitation will take place at Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay on Thursday August 4, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay on Friday August 5, 2022 at 11:00am with interment at Ballyduff Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Ballyduff Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
