Thurston, Lorne Hubert – (“Beekeeper in the Dunsford Community”) - Passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 31, 2019. He would have celebrated his 90th birthday on April 25, 2019. He is predeceased by his beloved parents Wallace and Anna Thurston, and his loving wife of 26 years, Myrtle Thurston, who passed away on December 14, 2018. Lorne is survived by his siblings Jack (Betty), Anna May Jackett (George), and Jim (Judy). Cherished Uncle of Faye Carslake (Bill), Theressa Barnett (David), Cheryl Thurston (Barry), Jacqueline Thurston (Ryan), Jeanette Thurston (Will); Rolanne Hurren (Talbot), Richard Thurston (Jill), Ron Thurston (Ang); David Jackett (Nancy), Brian Jackett (Sandra) and Jim Jackett. Loved by many great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, April 3rd from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, April 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.
