Obituary for Lynne Faulkner

Lynne Aileen Faulkner -  entered into rest at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at the age of 84.  Lynne (nee Griffiths) was the beloved wife of Bruce Faulkner for 60 years and will be deeply missed by her daughter Vicky Webster (David) and son Brian (Heather Brooks). Cherished grandmother of Joshua and Tyler Webster, Nicholas and Owen Faulkner.  Predeceased by her parents Vernon and Aileen Griffiths. Lynne was born in Toronto and attended Bathurst Heights Collegiate. She entered the Dental Nursing course at the University of Toronto, graduating third in her class. Over her 57 years of living in Lindsay, Lynne was active in many organizations. At various time she was secretary of the Academy Theatre Guild and also served as secretary of the Victoria County Historical Society. She was the final president of the Rotary Club’s Rotary Ann Group. She enjoyed both golf and curling as these were her favourite summer and winter sports. Lynne also filled her winters enjoying skiing with her family and friends, including many family trips over the years. She had a passion for collecting and enjoyed finding unique apothecary treasures, ornate oil lamps and striking cobalt blue glassware. With her husband Bruce, they were very fortunate to have travelled to many foreign countries and exotic locations.  They were honoured to attend the opening of the Juno Beach Centre in Normandy on June 3, 2003. At Lynne’s wishes cremation has taken place. A time to reflect and celebrate Lynne’s life will be held in early April. Due to expected pandemic restrictions, capacity will be greatly diminished. The family plans to stream or record the event for those unable to attend in person – detailed arrangements will be posted online at www.mackeys.ca in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to St. Paul’s Anglican Church (Lindsay, ON) or to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation.
