Obituary for Margaret Dorothy Frost-Marshall (Frost)

Margaret Dorothy Frost Marshall - Silver Cross Recipient + C.D. (April 23, 1936 to March 14, 2019) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret. She lived a full and rewarding life, and will be forever remembered by those lives that she has touched. Loving wife of the late Captain William "Bill" Douglas Marshall (July 22, 2007). Predeceased by her brother, Victor Frost, sister, Rose Watkinson, and sister-in-law Jackie Weir. Fondly remembered by her nephew, Richard Frost (Julia) and niece, Denise Charlton (Paul) and family. Survived by her step-children Jack Marshall, Valerie Marshall, Douglas Marshall and Diane Craig. Margaret was a cherished friend and will be forever missed by her close friends, Faye Clarke, Sarah Patterson, Robert Nagel and their families. Born in Hastings, England, Margaret was a registered nurse and mid-wife, and met her companion Bill in 1973. Among their post-retirement ventures, Bill and Margaret operated a fish and chip shop and a wool and baby-clothing shop. Bill and Margaret married on January 7, 1993 and immigrated to Canada on May 21, 1993, taking up residence in Lindsay. Margaret was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 67, and did volunteer work with Kawartha Lakes Hospice Services. A memorial service will be held later this summer at the National Military Cemetery (Beachwood) in Ottawa where she will be laid to rest with her " Billy". Sincere thanks to the caring, wonderful staff at Caressant Care Nursing Home Mary Street, Lindsay. If desired memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 67 Poppy Fund, and may be made at the Mackey Funeral Home Lindsay or online at www.mackeys.ca
