Leiper, Margaret (née Smith) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Elizabeth Leiper at the age of 80 on Thursday. May 26, 2022. Margaret passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Ross Memorial, Lindsay. Beloved wife to Graeme Leiper for 40 years. Proud mother of Rick Martin, Steve Martin and Deborah Cameron. Proud mother-in-law to Debby Martin. Cherished by her grandchildren, Connie Cameron, Tyler Martin, Justin Martin and great grandchildren, Stevie Martin, Angelica Martin and Fletcher Martin, son-in-law Clark Pinsent, granddaughter Pam Martin and granddaughter’s husband Matt Filip. Margaret enjoyed the time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching tennis, soccer and reading. She had a small bird sanctuary at her home that brought her much joy. She also loved to garden which is reflected in the beautiful gardens surrounding their home. We also appreciate the warm thoughts and memories of those who knew and loved her. Much appreciation goes to the staff of ParaMed redefining care nurses which is an in-home service, they cared for Margaret with much care and compassion. Nurse Lisa meant a lot to her during her home care. The family would also like to thank the care and support given to Margaret and her family from the staff at Ross Memorial in Lindsay. If desired, donations to the SickKids Hospital in Toronto would be greatly appreciated by the family. Per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service held at this time.
