Mary Eleanor Nicholls (neé DeNure)

Entered in to rest in her 92nd year on Sunday, June 5th, 2022. Survived by Lawrence, her husband of over 68 years. Mother of Catherine (Gord) and Calvin (Anne). Grandmother of Michael (Erin), Laura (David), Trevor, Elizabeth, and Philip. Great grandmother of Levi, Lyla, Sawyer, Gwen, Ashton, and Talia. Predeceased by brother Fred (Dorothy), sister Doris, and stepbrother Mervin. Eleanor spent her childhood years in Oshawa, Peterborough and Port Perry. Her years as a wife and mother included the communities of Seagrave, Fenelon Falls and Lindsay in later years. Examples of Eleanor’s creativity and handicraft were numerous and deeply appreciated by many. Active involvement with the United Church Women in Seagrave and Fenelon Falls made her kind and quiet manner familiar to all who knew her.
