Obituary for Blake Dudley

Michael Jeffrey Blake Dudley
March 21, 1961 – February 22, 2020

Our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, partner and friend peacefully surrendered the last of his nine lives on February 22, 2020, surrounded by love. The youngest of four brothers, Blake never lost his boyish playfulness or his tenacity. He met the health challenges that dogged his life from early childhood with tremendous optimism, courage and good humour – and defied the odds to the end. Blake was a fanatical Leafs fan; if he could have stayed with us for even one more Leafs’ game he would have.

Blake will be greatly missed and forever loved by his son Jarrid (Natali), father Don and his wife Barbara, brothers Scott (Ingela), Mark (Susan) and Curtis (Laurie), and his partner and guardian angel through this last difficult chapter of his life, Crystal Summers and her family: Alex, Zach, Jordin, grandson Kayne, and mother Frances. Blake will remain forever in the hearts of his stepbrothers Andrew (Lisa) and Phillip Voigt and his many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews. Blake was predeceased by his grandparents, and by his mother and idol, Joan. Our special thanks to the Peterborough Region Health Centre(PRHC), especially the PD clinic and ICU teams.

A service in Celebration of Blake’s life will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel St., Lindsay on Sunday, March 8, 2020 with a visitation from 1:00 pm visitation until time of service at 2:00 pm, followed by an informal gathering for friends and family at the Coach and Horses Pub, 16 York St. S. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PRHC-PD clinic. Online condolences may be made at www.mackeys.ca
