It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Murray Lorimer on July 25, 2023 at Ross Memorial Hospital.  He was in his 85^th year.  Murray leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Marilyn with whom he shared 59 years of cherished memories.  He was the beloved father of Steven (Nuray), Darren (Dianne) and Janis (Chad).  He was the loving grandfather of Sarah, Jake, Lucas and Chloe.  Murray will also be greatly missed by his brother, Grant (Cathy). Predeceased by his parents, George and Betty and by his brother, Brian (Jane).

Following in his father’s footsteps, Murray started out in the food business, He enjoyed a wonderful career impacting the lives of many.  For over 30 years, he owned and operated a successful real estate brokerage, Lorimer Realty and together with his family, built and operated a golf course known at the time as Scotch Settlement.  Murray was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching many sports including the Toronto teams.  

Above all else, Murray’s greatest legacy lies in the memories he created with his family.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren who brought him immense joy and happiness.  Murray will be remembered for his sense of humour, outspoken personality and charm, injecting joy and laughter into any gathering, always the life of the party.
