Obituary for Norman Davies

Norman Davies ~ (A photo engraver by trade who was proud to work at the Telegram and Toronto Star for many years.) Lost his battle with Lewy Body Dementia at Victoria Manor Lindsay on Thursday November 8, 2018 at the age of 87. Norm was the beloved husband of Eleanor Gimblett. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, intelligence, kindness, and love of music. Will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his daughters Carla Powell (Lakey), Nancy Burda (Joe) and Denise Barker (Klaus) and grandchildren Allison (Cam), Sarah, Grant (Leslie), James (Stephanie) and Laura, also one great grandchild Teddy. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Florence and sister Hazel Bond. He will be missed by his friends at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Lindsay. Visitation will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay, on Sunday November 11, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Monday, November 12, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 45 Russell Street West, at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Private interment to follow at a later date.
