RUTLEDGE, RANDALL ROBERT December 31, 1954 – March 6, 2023
Randy passed away unexpectedly in one of his happy places, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico at the age of 68. Gone far too soon, he leaves behind a legacy of love built on strong family values practiced by everyone close to him. The impact Randy had on those who knew him was profound, making the hole he leaves in our hearts impossible to fill. Randy was recently predeceased by his mother, Joyce. He is survived by his loving wife Bev, children Kyle (Carrie) and Carly Reid (Mike) and grandchildren Ozzy, Addison and Avery who adored their Pa/Bubba. Whether you were family, a friend, a co-worker or just had a short encounter with him, Randy had a way of making you feel loved and included. He was also sure to share a joke or story that would leave you laughing. Randy had a great career at IBM. He was a very hard worker and extremely detail oriented. Upon retirement, he and Bev moved to Dunsford to fulfill their dream of living on the water. Sturgeon Lake quickly became home and a go-to spot for family gatherings! Randy was a simple man who was happiest during FamJam’s, at NASCAR races and of course fishing on his, or anyone else’s, boat. Bottom line, Randy enjoyed company and company enjoyed him! To know Randy, was to love him. He was supportive, generous, hard working and loyal. He was a guy you could talk to you about anything (in times of good or bad). He knew how to have a good time; you could always find him on the dance floor and he was very passionate about music. While he was taken from us too soon, he said many times that he had no regrets and truly lived a life he loved and felt complete with. Randy did not want a service but instead wanted a party, surrounded by those he was closest with so we will honour his wishes in the near future.
