Obituary for Raymond Anderson

Raymond Robert Anderson 1919 - 2021

Today we say goodbye to a man who made the world a better place, Raymond Anderson at the great age of 101 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Ruth (2010). His legacy will live on through his daughter Sharon (Paul 2016) and his son Robert (Nancy). He was a loving grandfather to Kim (Don), Julie (Fernando), and Tyler (Erin). His gentle manner and love of animals was shared with his great-grandchildren, Lauren (Taylor), Adam, Evan, and Willow. His memory will live on in his great, great-grandchildren, Grace and Charlotte. Predeceased by sisters and brother-in-law, Evelyn (Clarence), and Marie.

Raymond was born and raised on the shores of Sturgeon Lake, in Cameron, Ontario. He enjoyed many years farming with his wife and eventually moved to Lindsay where he retired. All the family enjoyed spending time with them at their cottage that they kept at Sturgeon Lake. Family dinners, sleepovers and frog hunting in the pond will be special memories for us all.

A special thank you goes out to the nurses and staff of Caressant Care, Mary Street.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay, Ontario. Due to current COVID restrictions, a private family service and burial will be held on Friday, April 30TH at 11:00 am.

Memorial Donations made to the COPD | Lung Association of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
