Reginald Jack Gorrill (1930-2020) – In his 90th year, Jack passed away peacefully at Amica City Centre, Mississauga, on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Jack was born and raised on the family farm (Sam and Doris Gorrill) in Oakwood. Jack was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Betty (Nee Munt – in 2004). He leaves behind his son Allen (Kay). Jack was a proud grandfather of Stephanie and Courtney (Allan), and a delighted great grandfather of Olivia. Jack will also be missed by nieces Marlaine and Connie, and his nephews Don and Frank, along with their families. Jack went to Lindsay Collegiate where he met Betty. In his younger years he played a lot of baseball and hockey in the Oakwood, Lindsay and the surrounding Mariposa Township area. He was a founding father of the Erindale Lions Little League Baseball Association and very involved in the building of the Erindale Lions Little League baseball stadium which hosted the 1974 Canadian Little League National Championships. He was a past District Administrator for Ontario District 1 of Little League Baseball Canada. A private celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date with family.
